margin: 28px 0 32px 0;\">\r\n \u201cI will leave remaining in your midst<br>\r\n a humble and lowly people,<br>\r\n and they will take refuge in the name of Jehovah.\u201d<br>\r\n <strong>\u2014 Zephaniah 3:12<\/strong>\r\n <\/p>\r\n Zephaniah\u2019s words belonged to a prophetic setting<br>\r\n involving judgment, purification, and restoration.<br>\r\n The \u201cremaining\u201d people were not celebrated<br>\r\n because they were proud of being few.<br>\r\n They were described as humble<br>\r\n and as taking refuge in Jehovah\u2019s name.<br><br>\r\n The idea of a remnant appears elsewhere too.<br>\r\n Paul used it when discussing Israel<br>\r\n and Jehovah\u2019s purpose in his own day.<br>\r\n <p style=\"font-style: italic; margin: 28px 0 32px 0;\">\r\n \u201cIn the same way, then, at the present time also,<br>\r\n there is a remnant according to a choosing through undeserved kindness.\u201d<br>\r\n <strong>\u2014 Romans 11:5<\/strong>\r\n <\/p>\r\n Paul\u2019s point was not that a modern group<br>\r\n could simply declare itself to be \u201cthe remnant.\u201d<br>\r\n He was explaining that God had not rejected his people completely<br>\r\n and that a faithful remainder still existed.<br><br>\r\n That distinction matters.<br>\r\n Scripture can encourage someone who feels alone<br>\r\n without giving us permission<br>\r\n to turn loneliness into proof that we alone are correct.<br><br>\r\n Elijah once believed that he was the only faithful person left.<br>\r\n Jehovah corrected that conclusion.<br>\r\n <p style=\"font-style: italic; margin: 28px 0 32px 0;\">\r\n \u201cI still have left 7,000 in Israel,<br>\r\n all whose knees have not bent down to Baal<br>\r\n and whose mouths have not kissed him.\u201d<br>\r\n <strong>\u2014 1 Kings 19:18<\/strong>\r\n <\/p>\r\n Elijah felt alone,<br>\r\n but his perception was incomplete.<br>\r\n There were others he did not know about.<br>\r\n That account offers both comfort and humility:<br>\r\n you may not be as alone as you feel,<br>\r\n and you may not know everyone Jehovah knows.<br><br>\r\n Jesus also spoke tenderly to a \u201clittle flock.\u201d<br>\r\n <p style=\"font-style: italic; margin: 28px 0 32px 0;\">\r\n \u201cHave no fear, little flock,<br>\r\n for your Father has approved of giving you the Kingdom.\u201d<br>\r\n <strong>\u2014 Luke 12:32<\/strong>\r\n <\/p>\r\n These words were spoken to Jesus\u2019 disciples<br>\r\n in a particular setting.<br>\r\n They should not automatically be used<br>\r\n as a label for every later religious group<br>\r\n that sees itself as small or separate.<br><br>\r\n But the passage does show<br>\r\n that smallness by itself is not evidence of failure.<br>\r\n Truth is not established by head count,<br>\r\n and faithfulness is not measured by popularity.<br><br>\r\n Scripture also warns us against the opposite mistake:<br>\r\n thinking that being different automatically makes us right.<br>\r\n The standard remains what is true,<br>\r\n what Scripture actually teaches,<br>\r\n and whether our conduct reflects humility, love, and faithfulness.<br><br>\r\n So if your faith feels lonely,<br>\r\n do not measure truth by applause.<br>\r\n Do not measure it by opposition either.<br>\r\n Return to Scripture.<br>\r\n Test what you believe.<br>\r\n Remain humble.<br>\r\n Look for others who sincerely seek God.<br>\r\n And resist the temptation to turn isolation into spiritual superiority.<br><br>\r\n Let this reflection leave you with something steady to hold:<br>\r\n being in the minority does not make you wrong,<br>\r\n being in the minority does not automatically make you right,<br>\r\n and feeling alone does not mean that Jehovah has no other faithful servants.<\/div>\r\n <!-- Final Bold Statement -->\r\n <p style=\"text-align: center; They can encourage people who feel spiritually isolated, but they should not be used to declare that a modern person, movement, or organization is automatically Jehovah\u2019s chosen remnant. These reflections are meant to preserve both the comfort and the humility found in the biblical accounts.\r\n <\/p>\r\n <div style=\"text-align: left; font-size: 15px; line-height: 1.6;\">\r\n <hr style=\"margin: 14px 0;\">\r\n <strong>\u2022 A remnant is described by humility, not superiority.<\/strong><br>\r\n <strong>Zephaniah 3:12 \u2014<\/strong>\r\n <em>\u201cA humble and lowly people... will take refuge in the name of Jehovah.\u201d<\/em><br>\r\n <strong>Reflexi\u00f3n:<\/strong> Zephaniah\u2019s remnant is not pictured boasting that it alone understands everything. Humility is one of its defining characteristics.
